Periods shouldn't stop progress

Save a Month

Ending period poverty and menstrual stigma so girls can stay in school with dignity.

360 Pad Packs
400+ Trained

Save a Month eliminates period poverty and promotes menstrual equity in underserved communities. We equip girls with sustainable menstrual products, education, and support systems — and we intentionally educate boys and men so stigma loses its audience.

In November outreach across Nyamasoga, Busanga, Haiable, and Buseruka Primary Schools — with partners including Girl Power USA — we expanded reach and trained our team in reusable pad making to cascade skills into programme communities.

Impact so far

  • 8 rural communities in Hoima District (about 10% of our target region)
  • 300 girls aged 9–18 supported
  • 360 packs of pads distributed (8 pads per pack)
  • 4 training workshops reaching 400+ girls and boys in menstrual health
